Authorities in Ceuta rescue 22 Moroccan migrants and send them back to the Kingdom

Civil Guard in Ceuta rescued 22 Moroccan migrants who were carried by two boats, Spanish news agency EFE wrote on Monday.

The first boat was spotted by the Civil Guard near the enclave of Ceuta. After it sunk, six people who did not know how to swim were rescued by the Civil Guard, while eight others reached the coast before, they were stopped by the authorities.

The fourteen migrants were taken to the headquarters of the maritime services in Ceuta, where they were given first aid by the Red Cross, before being handed over to the police who sent them back to Morocco, the same source said.

The other boat, which was sailing near the Spanish enclave, was carrying eight other Moroccan migrants, said EFE.

They were handed over to the police, who sent them to Morocco, the press agency concluded.
