The thirteenth edition of the Casablanca Heritage Days, organized by the Moroccan cultural association Casamémoire, will take place from May 13 to 19, 2024. This free public event offers a unique opportunity to discover Casablanca's hidden treasures.

Visitors will have the chance to explore historically significant buildings that are usually closed to the public. Casamémoire's trained volunteers conduct guided tours annually, providing valuable insights into the city's rich heritage.

Titled «Casablanca Heritage in Motion», these tours invite participants to rediscover the city through five distinct neighborhoods, highlighting its evolution and dynamism. Scheduled for May 17, 18, and 19, 2024, the tours all start at 10:00 AM:

The Old Medina district: Walking tour, meeting at the Scala Tower.
Downtown: Walking tour, meeting at the fountain in Mohammed V Square.

Hay El Habbous: Walking tour, meeting at the headquarters of the Casablanca-Settat region (the ancient court of the Pasha) on Victor Hugo Street.

Casa West: Bus tour, starting from Mehdi Ben Barka Square, Maârif (encompassing Maârif, Riviera, S.I.L, Hay Hassani, and Al Hank).

Casa East: Bus tour, starting from United Nations Square next to Alza Bus Station (including Roches Noires, Mahdiyeh neighborhood, and Ain Sebaa).

Friday, May 19th, will be reserved for school trips, while Saturday and Sunday are open to the general public.

In addition to the guided tours, Casamémoire presents a full-fledged cultural festival featuring a diverse program. From lectures and roundtable discussions to exhibitions, workshops, dance performances, and film screenings, the festival aims to celebrate Casablanca's heritage by exploring new artistic horizons.

Established in 1995, Casamémoire is committed to preserving Casablanca's 20th-century architectural heritage, promoting cultural tourism, and fostering collective memory.
