27.46.قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

27.46. «Ô mon peuple, leur dit-il, pourquoi cherchez-vous à hâter l'arrivée du mal plutôt que celle du bien? Que n'implorez-vous le pardon de Dieu, peut-être vous prendra-t-Il en Sa miséricorde?»

27.46 . He said : O my people! Why will ye hasten on the evil rather than the good? Why will ye not ask pardon of Allah , that ye may receive mercy .

27.46. Qala ya qawmi lima tastaAAjiloona bialssayyi-ati qabla alhasanati lawla tastaghfiroona Allaha laAAallakum turhamoona

27.47.قَالُوا اطَّيَّرْنَا بِكَ وَبِمَن مَّعَكَ قَالَ طَائِرُكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ تُفْتَنُونَ

27.47. – «Nous vous tenons, dirent-ils, toi et tes compagnons, pour des oiseaux de mauvais augure !» – «Votre sort, répondit Sâlih, relève du Seigneur. Mais vous êtes un peuple que Dieu veut éprouver.»

27.47 . They said : We augur evil of thee and those with thee . He said : Your evil augury is with Allah . Nay , but ye are folk that are being tested .

27.47. Qaloo ittayyarna bika wabiman maAAaka qala ta-irukum AAinda Allahi bal antum qawmun tuftanoona

27.48.وَكَانَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ

27.48. Or, il y avait dans la ville neuf énergumènes, fauteurs de troubles et bons à rien,

27.48 . And there were in the city nine persons who made mischief in the land and reformed not .

27.48. Wakana fee almadeenati tisAAatu rahtin yufsidoona fee al-ardi wala yuslihoona

27.49.قَالُوا تَقَاسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُ وَأَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ

27.49. qui se dirent : «Faisons serment par Dieu de tuer de nuit Sâlih et les siens et de dire ensuite à son ayant droit : “Nous n'avons pas assisté à leur meurtre. Vous pouvez nous croire.”«

27.49 . They said : Swear one to another by Allah that we verily will attack him and his household by night , and afterward we will surely say unto his friend : We witnessed not the destruction of his household . And lo! we are truthtellers .

27.49. Qaloo taqasamoo biAllahi lanubayyitannahu waahlahu thumma lanaqoolanna liwaliyyihi ma shahidna mahlika ahlihi wa-inna lasadiqoona

27.50.وَمَكَرُوا مَكْراً وَمَكَرْنَا مَكْراً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

27.50. Ce fut là le stratagème qu'ils avaient ourdi et que Nous avions déjoué sans qu'ils s'en rendissent compte.

27.50 . So they plotted a plot : and We plotted a plot , while they perceived not .
