Afrikonnect, a platform to help large companies and top African startups collaborate

Afrikonnect is a platform to accelerate collaboration between large companies and top African startups. The first edition of the initiative took place in Casablanca, at the headquarterz of Technopark, Thursday 22nd of March. Backed by the US State Department and GIZ (a German development agency), Oultierz Ventures and LaFactory in partnership with StartupYourLife organized this event.

The conference brought together participants from both the public and private sector, key players from different tech ecosystems in Africa, as well as high-growth African startups at the seed and series A stages who had the chance to meet in the kingdom's economic capital, according to a press release.

Afikonnect’s main goal is to enable leading industry players with a strong presence in Africa explore co-innovation opportunities with high-growth startups from across the continent. It is also intending to foster co-invetsment opportunities and provide early stage investors ocused on Africa access to dealflow of seed stage companies.
