Two Moroccan citizens were extradited, this week, by the Italian authorities for suspected close ties to jihadist movements.

Labeled dangerous extremists, the two nationals had their asylum applications rejected by the Italian authorities, Italian news agency ANSA reported on Monday, quoting the Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi.

Piantedosi wrote Monday on his X account that one of the two Moroccans had been detained at the CPR (Center for Repatriation) in Bari, a city in southern Italy.
