This weekend, a Moroccan left Ceuta for Fnideq, in order to «pick up his nephew», before returning to the autonomous city, swimming in a 30-minute trip.

According to Spanish newspaper La Razon, the two people were rescued near Tarajal. The two migrants were picked up by a patrol boat, which said they are an adult and a minor.

Back on land, they were taken care of by the Benemérita and the Red Cross, who provided them with dry clothes and subjected them to PCR tests.

«The adult had already gone to Ceuta, where he had arrived illegally. For unknown reasons, he decided to go in the opposite direction to recover his nephew and both swam from Morocco», the same source added.
