54.36.وَلَقَدْ أَنذَرَهُم بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا بِالنُّذُرِ

54.36. Loth les avait pourtant bien mis en garde contre Nos rigueurs , mais ils avaient mis en doute tous ses avertissements,

54.36 . And he indeed had warned them of Our blow , but they did doubt the warnings .

54.36. Walaqad antharahum batshatana fatamaraw bialnnuthuri

54.37.وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيْفِهِ فَطَمَسْنَا أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

54.37. allant même jusqu'à vouloir abuser de ses hôtes ! Alors, d'un seul coup, Nous leur ôtâmes la vue. «Goûtez donc Mon châtiment et la sanction de Mes avertissements !»

54.37 . They even asked of him his guests for an ill purpose . Then We blinded their eyes ( and said ) : Taste now My punishment after My warnings!

54.37. Walaqad rawadoohu AAan dayfihi fatamasna aAAyunahum fathooqoo AAathabee wanuthuri

54.38.وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُم بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ

54.38. Et, au petit matin, ils furent réveillés par un supplice persistant.

54.38 . And in truth the punishment decreed befell them early in the morning .

54.38. Walaqad sabbahahum bukratan AAathabun mustaqirrun

54.39.فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

54.39. Goûtez donc Mon châtiment et la sanction de Mes avertissements !

54.39 . Now taste My punishment after My warnings!

54.39. Fathooqoo AAathabee wanuthuri

54.40.وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ

54.40. Nous avons fait du Coran une œuvre facile à comprendre pour qu'il serve de rappel. Seulement est-il quelqu'un pour méditer ce rappel?

54.40 . And in truth We have made the Quran easy to remember ; but is there any that remembereth?

54.40. Walaqad yassarna alqur-ana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin
