54.16.فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

54.16. Combien furent donc durs Mon châtiment et la sanction de Mes avertissements !

54.16 . Then see how ( dreadful ) was My punishment after My warnings!

54.16. Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri

54.17.وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ

54.17. Nous avons fait du Coran une œuvre facile à comprendre pour qu'il serve de rappel. Seulement est-il quelqu'un pour méditer ce rappel?

54.17 . And in truth We have made the Quran easy to remember ; but is there any that remembered?

54.17. Walaqad yassarna alqur-ana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin

54.18.كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

54.18. Les `Âd ont, eux aussi, crié au mensonge. Et combien furent durs Mon châtiment et la sanction de Mes avertissements !

54.18 . ( The tribe of ) Aad rejected warnings . Then how dreadful ) was My punishment after My warnings .

54.18. Kaththabat AAadun fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri

54.19.إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحاً صَرْصَراً فِي يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُّسْتَمِرٍّ

54.19. Nous déchaînâmes contre eux, en un jour néfaste et interminable, un ouragan mugissant,

54.19 . Lo! We let loose on them a raging wind on a day of constant calamity ,

54.19. Inna arsalna AAalayhim reehan sarsaran fee yawmi nahsin mustamirrin

54.20.تَنزِعُ النَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُّنقَعِرٍ

54.20. qui emporta les hommes comme de vieux troncs de palmiers déracinés.

54.20 . Sweeping men away as though they were uprooted trunks of palm trees .
