French Montana’s «Welcome to the Party» featured in Deadpool 2’s soundtrack

American superhero film Deadpool 2’s soundtrack includes a song by Moroccan-American hip hop artist French Montana.

«Welcome to the Party» is also by American DJ Diplo and rapper Lil Pump, featuring singer Zhavia. The hit was released on May the 15th only three day before Deadpool 2 premiered.

«The 'Welcome to the Party' video features performance shots of the producer and his mic-wielding friends as they rock out at the house and set things on fire. It's spliced between clips from the movie», wrote Billboard Monday.

Deadpool 2 is a sequel to the 2016 film Deadpool based on the Marvel comics character bearing the same name. The movie directed by David Leitch from a script by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Ryan Reynolds, with Reynolds starring in the title role, is now released in Morocco too.

The movie received positive reviews in the United States after its release on May 18. It grossed $312 million worldwide and was ranked tenth highest-grossing film in 2018.

For the record, French Montana, Karim Kharbouch, was born and raised in Morocco until the age of 13. His parents immigrated to the United States where he successfully carries a musical career.
