Is the Moroccan public turning away from Al-Jazeera? Is Al-Jazeera losing audiences in some parts of the Arab world? If the reaction of the Moroccan audience to Al-Jazeera’s lack of coverage around the arrest and disappearance of the Polisario dissident is an indication, the Qatari based Al-Jazeera news channel (JNC) is in trouble. Moroccan are utterly outraged with the way JNC has sidelined and ignored the story of Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud’s odyssey from the Moroccan city of Smara, where he voiced his support to the Moroccan Autonomy Plan for the western Sahara, to the Algerian city of Tindouf where the separatist Polisario Front arrested him and send him to an Algerian jail.
