26.156.وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

26.156. Ne lui faites aucun mal, sans quoi le châtiment d'un grand jour s'abattra sur vous !»

26.156 . And touch her not with ill lest there come on you the retribution of an awful day .

26.156. Wala tamassooha bisoo-in faya/khuthakum AAathabu yawmin AAatheemin

26.157.فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا نَادِمِينَ

26.157. Or, ils l'égorgèrent et eurent le lendemain à s'en repentir,

26.157 . But they hamstrung her , and then were penitent .

26.157. FaAAaqarooha faasbahoo nadimeena

26.158.فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

26.158. car le châtiment ne tarda pas à les saisir. Il y a là assurément un signe , mais la plupart d'entre eux n'étaient pas croyants.

26.158 . So the retribution came on them . Lo! herein is indeed a portent , yet most of them are not believers .

26.158. Faakhathahumu alAAathabu inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mu/mineena

26.159.وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ

26.159. En vérité, ton Seigneur est Tout-Puissant et Tout-Compatissant.

26.159 . And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty , the Merciful .

26.159. Wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu

26.160.كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ

26.160. Le peuple de Loth , lui aussi, traita les prophètes d'imposteurs,

26.160 . The folk of Lot denied the messengers ( of Allah ) ,
