Tuesday morning, 6.000 MRE were always blocked with the port of Almeria, including some since four days, following the outage for technical problems of the ship “Mistral” of maritime company COMANAV. This situation caused the protest of the travellers on standby of loading for Nador.
The outage of this ship, of a capacity of 2.500 passengers, gave place to an overbooking without precedent for companies COMARIT and TRANSMEDITERRANEA which had been in the incapacity to absorb the flow growing of the passengers.
The Consul of Morocco with Almeria, Abdelkhalek Atrari, of coordination with the local authorities and the persons in charge for the port of Almeria, endeavours to find a solution with this problem, inviting the maritime companies to respect the commitments entered into before the launching of the operation Transit-2006.
“We hope that the ship of reinforcement dispatched this Tuesday by the COMANAV from Tangier will be able to absorb on-office plurality of passengers caused by the delay in the service road of the line of Nador”, Mr. Atrari with the MAP affirmed.
