4.77 . Hast thou not seen those unto whom it was said : Withhold your hands , establish worship and pay the poor due , but when fighting was prescribed for them behold , a party of them fear mankind even as their fear of Allah or with greater fear , and say : Our Lord! Why hast thou ordained fighting for us? If only Thou wouldst give us respite yet a while! Say ( unto them , O Muhammad ) : The comfort of this world is scant ; the Hereafter will be better for him who wardeth off ( evil ) ; and ye will not be wronged the down upon a date stone .

4.77.أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ قِيلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّواْ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَقِيمُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَآتُواْ الزَّكَاةَ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِتَالُ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمْ يَخْشَوْنَ النَّاسَ كَخَشْيَةِ اللّهِ أَوْ أَشَدَّ خَشْيَةً وَقَالُواْ رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبْتَ عَلَيْنَا الْقِتَالَ لَوْلا أَخَّرْتَنَا إِلَى أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ قُلْ مَتَاعُ الدَّنْيَا قَلِيلٌ وَالآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّمَنِ اتَّقَى وَلاَ تُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلاً

4.77. N'as-tu pas remarqué la réaction de certains de ces gens à qui on avait dit de cesser les hostilités et de se consacrer à l'accomplissement de la salât et à la pratique de la zakât et qui, lorsque l'ordre de reprendre le combat fut ensuite donné, se mirent à craindre l'ennemi comme on craint Dieu, sinon plus encore? «Seigneur, s'écrièrent-ils, pourquoi nous prescris-Tu de reprendre le combat? Que ne reportes-Tu cette prescription à une date ultérieure?» Dis-leur : «Le plaisir que procure la vie en ce monde est bien précaire, tandis que la vie future a bien plus de valeur pour les croyants qui n'y subiront pas la moindre injustice.»

4.77. "Hast du nicht Kunde von denen, welchen gesagt wurde: ""Zügelt eure Hände, verrichtet das Gebet und zahlet die Zakat""? Doch wenn ihnen Kampf verordnet wurde, da fürchtete ein Teil von ihnen die Menschen, wie die Furcht vor Allah oder mit noch größerer Furcht, und sie sagten: ""Unser Herr, warum hast Du uns Kampf verordnet? Möchtest Du uns nicht noch eine Weile Aufschub gewähren?"" Sprich: ""Der Vorteil dieser Welt ist gering und das Jenseits wird besser sein für den Gottesfürchtigen, und kein Quentchen Unrecht sollt ihr erleiden."""

4.77. Alam tara ila allatheena qeela lahum kuffoo aydiyakum waaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata falamma kutiba AAalayhimu alqitalu itha fareequn minhum yakhshawna alnnasa kakhashyati Allahi aw ashadda khashyatan waqaloo rabbana lima katabta AAalayna alqitala lawla akhkhartana ila ajalin qareebin qul mataAAu alddunya qaleelun waal-akhiratu khayrun limani ittaqa wala tuthlamoona fateelan

4.77. " ¿No has visto a aquéllos a quienes se dijo: ""¡Deponed las armas! ¡Haced la azalá y dad el azaque!""? Cuando se les prescribe el combate, algunos de ellos tienen tanto miedo de los hombres como deberían tener de Alá, o aún más, y dicen: ""¡Señor! ¿Por qué nos has ordenado combatir? Si nos dejaras para un poco más tarde..."" Di: ""El breve disfrute de la vida de acá es mezquino. La otra vida es mejor para quien teme a Alá. No se os tratará injustamente en lo más mínimo"". "

4.77. "Non hai visto coloro ai quali fu detto: ""Abbassate le mani , eseguite l'orazione e pagate la decima ""? Quando fu loro ordinato di combattere, ecco che una parte di loro fu presa da un timore per gli uomini, come timore di Allah o ancora maggiore, e dissero: ""O Signor nostro, perché ci hai ordinato la lotta? Se potessi rinviarci il termine!"" . Di': ""E' infimo il godimento di questo mondo, l'Altra vita è migliore per chi è timorato [di Allah]. Non subirete neanche un danno grande come una pellicola di dattero"

4."77. Ziet gij niet degenen, tot wie gezegd werd: ""Weerhoudt uw handen, houdt het gebed en betaalt de Zakaat? "" En wanneer het strijden hun is voorgeschreven, ziet, een deel hunner vreest de mensen zoals men Allah behoort te vrezen, of zelfs nog erger en zij zeggen: ""Onze Heer, waarom hebt Gij ons het strijden voorgeschreven? Waarom hebt Gij ons niet voor een korte tijd uitstel verleend?"" Zeg: ""Het voordeel van deze wereld is gering en het Hiernamaals zal beter zijn voor hem die Allah vreest. En u zal niet het minste onrecht worden aangedaan."
