Chères amies, Chers amis,

Nous souhaitons à chacun et chacune d'entre vous une année de bonheur, de dignité et de courage, dans les temps difficiles que nous traversons.

Nous souhaitons à tous de trouver la force de résister à la force brutale qui écrase toujours davantage d'êtres humains dans le monde, aux conditions de vie de plus en plus dures, à une injustice de plus en plus décomplexée, à un matraquage médiatique de tous les instants, qui voudraient nous persuader qu'aucun autre monde n'est possible, qu'aucun espoir n'est permis, que les luttes sont vaines.

Nous souhaitons de suivre notre conscience et non les "valeurs" affichées par ceux qui affament et agressent les peuples sans défense, pourchassent les femmes et les enfants, les travailleurs dont on fait dépendre la vie de petis bouts de papiers, le tout au nom d'un mauvais remake de la "la race supérieure" : la "civilisation supérieure".

Nous ne nous laisserons pas submerger par le poids de la brutalité et l'immoralité ambiantes. Ensemble, nous avons le pouvoir de refuser l'intolérable. Face à des actes inhumains, nous réagirons. Face à des lois scélérates, nous désobéirons.

Il y a dans le monde entier beaucoup de femmes et d' hommes qui partagent les mêmes idées de liberté, de fraternité et d'égalité. Ne minimisons pas ce que nous sommes capables de réaliser, face à ceux qui n'ont que des murs, des grilles, des miradors, des bombes... et des tests génétiques à proposer.
L'avenir ne peut appartenir à ceux dont le pillage est le seul but, le racisme et la guerre les seuls moyens d'y parvenir.


Nos pensées vont en cette fin 2007 vers tous les Palestiniens qui nous montrent la voie par leur formidable résistance, sans laquelle ils auraient totalement disparu depuis longtemps. Que l'année 2008 nous donne la santé, la force, de les imiter, de joindre nos forces, pour construire un monde différent.

Voici pour tous ceux qui nous l'ont demandée l'adresse de Salah Hamouri en prison, ce jeune étudiant franco-palestinien retenu en otage depuis bientôt 3 ans, sans jugement. Dear Friends,

We wish to each and every one of you a happy new year, and plenty of dignity and courage in the difficult times through which we are now passing.

We wish everyone to have the strength to resist the brutal force which still continues crushing more and more human beings in the world, the harsher and harsher conditions, the more and more open injustice and the constantly battering media, which would like to persuade us that no other world is possible, that no hope is allowed and that fighting them is in vain.

We hope that we shall ourselves follow our consciences and not the supposed "values" vaunted by those who starve and aggress defenceless peoples, hunt down women and children and the workers whose lives have been made to depend on little bits of paper, all in the name of a poor remake of a "master race" and a "superior civilisation".

We shall not let ourselves be dragged down by the weight of the ambiant bruitality and immorality. Together, we have the power to refuse the intolerable. When we find inhuman acts we will react. When we come across criminal laws, we will disobey them.

There are in the world many women and men who share the same ideas of liberty, fraternity and equality. Let us not underestimate what we can do against those who can only offer walls, fences, watch-towers, bombs ... and genetic tests.

The future must not be the exclusive property of those whose sole aim is pillage, with racism and war as their only means of achieving it.

Now that we are coming to the end of 2007, our thoughts go out to all those Palestinians who are showing us the way by their formidable resistance, without which they would long ago have disappeared completely. May the year 2008 give us the health and the strength to imitate them, and to join forces with them to build a different world.
