72.6.وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ الْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقاً

72.6. Il est vrai que certains individus d'entre les hommes avaient cherché refuge auprès de quelques individus parmi les djinns. Mais cela ne fit qu'accentuer leur détresse.

72.6 . And indeed ( O Muhammad ) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn so that they increased them in revolt ( against Allah ) ;

72.6. Waannahu kana rijalun mina al-insi yaAAoothoona birijalin mina aljinni fazadoohum rahaqan

72.7.وَأَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوا كَمَا ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ أَحَداً

72.7. En effet, ces humains croyaient comme vous, les djinns, que jamais Dieu n'enverrait de messager.

72.7 . And indeed they supposed , even as ye suppose , that Allah would not raise anyone ( from the dead )

72.7. Waannahum thannoo kama thanantum an lan yabAAatha Allahu ahadan

72.8.وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَاء فَوَجَدْنَاهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَساً شَدِيداً وَشُهُباً

72.8. Nous avons frôlé le Ciel et nous l'avons trouvé plein de gardiens et de dards flamboyants ,

72.8 . And ( the Jinn who had listened to the Quran said ) : We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors .

72.8. Waanna lamasna alssamaa fawajadnaha muli-at harasan shadeedan washuhuban

72.9.وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَاعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ فَمَن يَسْتَمِعِ الْآنَ يَجِدْ لَهُ شِهَاباً رَّصَداً

72.9. et alors qu'auparavant nous pouvions écouter ce qui s'y passait, aujourd'hui quiconque essaie de le faire risque d'être la cible d'un tison ardent, prêt à l'atteindre.

72.9 . And we used to sit on places ( high ) therein to listen . But he who listened now findeth a flame in wait for him ;

72.9. Waanna kunna naqAAudu minha maqaAAida lilssamAAi faman yastamiAAi al-ana yajid lahu shihaban rasadan

72.10.وَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِي أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ أَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَداً

72.10. Aussi ne savons-nous guère si les habitants de la Terre sont voués au malheur ou si leur Seigneur veut les mettre sur la voie du bonheur.

72.10 . And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth , or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them .

72.10. Waanna la nadree asharrun oreeda biman fee al-ardi am arada bihim rabbuhum rashadan
