42.31.وَمَا أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ

42.31. Vous ne sauriez vous opposer à la puissance divine sur Terre, et vous n'avez, en dehors de Dieu, ni maître ni défenseur.

42.31 . Ye cannot escape in the earth , for beside Allah ye have no protecting friend nor any helper .

42.31. Wama antum bimuAAjizeena fee al-ardi wama lakum min dooni Allahi min waliyyin wala naseerin

42.32.وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ الْجَوَارِ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ

42.32. Parmi Ses signes, il y a les vaisseaux qui sillonnent les mers et s'y dressent comme des montagnes altières.

42.32 . And of His portents are the ships , like banners on the sea ;

42.32. Wamin ayatihi aljawari fee albahri kaal-aAAlami

42.33.إِن يَشَأْ يُسْكِنِ الرِّيحَ فَيَظْلَلْنَ رَوَاكِدَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ

42.33. Et s'Il le voulait, Il apaiserait le vent, et les vaisseaux s'immobiliseraient à la surface des eaux. N'y a-t-il pas là des signes pour tout homme patient et reconnaissant?

42.33 . If He will He calmeth the wind so that they keep still upon its surface Lo! herein verily are signs for every steadfast grateful ( heart ) .

42.33. In yasha/ yuskini alrreeha fayathlalna rawakida AAala thahrihi inna fee thalika laayatin likulli sabbarin shakoorin

42.34.أَوْ يُوبِقْهُنَّ بِمَا كَسَبُوا وَيَعْفُ عَن كَثِيرٍ

42.34. Ou bien Il les ferait sombrer, en sanction des fautes qu'ils ont commises. Et pourtant que de fautes Il leur pardonne !

42.34 . Or he causeth them to perish on account of that which they have earned And He forgiveth much

42.34. Aw yoobiqhunna bima kasaboo wayaAAfu AAan katheerin

42.35.وَيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا مَا لَهُم مِّن مَّحِيصٍ

42.35. C'est ainsi que ceux qui contestent Nos signes apprendront qu'ils ne sauraient échapper à Nos rigueurs.

42.35 . And that those who argue concerning Our revelations may know they have no refuge .

42.35. WayaAAlama allatheena yujadiloona fee ayatina ma lahum min maheesin
