40.31.مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ وَمَا اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْماً لِّلْعِبَادِ

40.31. un sort tel qu'avaient subi les peuples de Noé, des Âd, de Thamûd et de ceux qui leur avaient succédé. Dieu n'aime pas sévir injustement contre les hommes.

40.31 . A plight like that of Noah ' s folk , and Aad and Thamud , and those after them , and Allah willeth no injustice for ( His ) slaves .

40.31. Mithla da/bi qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waallatheena min baAAdihim wama Allahu yureedu thulman lilAAibadi

40.32.وَيَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَوْمَ التَّنَادِ

40.32. Ô mon peuple ! J'appréhende pour vous le Jour de l'Appel mutuel,

40.32 . And , O my people! Lo! I fear for a Day of Summoning ,

40.32. Waya qawmi innee akhafu AAalaykum yawma alttanadi

40.33.يَوْمَ تُوَلُّونَ مُدْبِرِينَ مَا لَكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ

40.33. le jour où vous battrez en retraite et où, dans votre fuite éperdue, vous n'aurez contre Dieu nul défenseur, car celui que Dieu égare ne saurait trouver d'autre guide.

40.33 . A day when ye will turn to flee , having no preserver from Allah : and he whom Allah sendeth astray , for him there is no guide .

40.33. Yawma tuwalloona mudbireena ma lakum mina Allahi min AAasimin waman yudlili Allahu fama lahu min hadin

40.34.وَلَقَدْ جَاءكُمْ يُوسُفُ مِن قَبْلُ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا زِلْتُمْ فِي شَكٍّ مِّمَّا جَاءكُم بِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا هَلَكَ قُلْتُمْ لَن يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ مِن بَعْدِهِ رَسُولاً كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ مُّرْتَابٌ

40.34. Joseph était déjà venu parmi vous avec des preuves irréfutables, mais vous n'avez cessé de les contester jusqu'au jour de sa mort. Après quoi, vous dites : “Jamais Dieu n'enverra de prophète après lui.”« C'est ainsi que Dieu égare les outranciers et les sceptiques

40.34 . And verily Joseph brought you of old clear proofs , yet ye ceased not to be in doubt concerning what be brought you till , when he died , he said : Allah will not send any messenger after him . Thus Allah deceiveth him who is a prodigal , a doubter .

40.34. Walaqad jaakum yoosufu min qablu bialbayyinati fama ziltum fee shakkin mimma jaakum bihi hatta itha halaka qultum lan yabAAatha Allahu min baAAdihi rasoolan kathalika yudillu Allahu man huwa musrifun murtabun

40.35.الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَانٍ أَتَاهُمْ كَبُرَ مَقْتاً عِندَ اللَّهِ وَعِندَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كَذَلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ قَلْبِ مُتَكَبِّرٍ جَبَّارٍ

40.35. qui, discutant sans preuve des versets de Dieu, s'attirent Sa colère et celle des croyants. Et c'est ainsi que Dieu endurcit le cœur de tout tyran orgueilleux.

40.35 . Those who wrangle concerning the revelations of Allah without any warrant that hath come unto them , it is greatly hateful in the sight of Allah and in the sight of those who believe . Thus doth Allah print on every arrogant , disdainful heart .

40.35. Allatheena yujadiloona fee ayati Allahi bighayri sultanin atahum kabura maqtan AAinda Allahi waAAinda allatheena amanoo kathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAala kulli qalbi mutakabbirin jabbarin
