24.16.وَلَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ قُلْتُم مَّا يَكُونُ لَنَا أَن نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهَذَا سُبْحَانَكَ هَذَا بُهْتَانٌ عَظِيمٌ

24.16. Que n'avez-vous dit, en entendant ces racontars : «Il ne nous sied pas de tenir de tels propos ! Grand Dieu ! C'est une calomnie atroce !»

24.16 . Wherefore , when ye heard it , said ye not : It is not for us to speak of this . Glory be to Thee ( O Allah ) ; This is awful calumny .

24.16. Walawla ith samiAAtumoohu qultum ma yakoonu lana an natakallama bihatha subhanaka hatha buhtanun AAatheemun

24.17.يَعِظُكُمُ اللَّهُ أَن تَعُودُوا لِمِثْلِهِ أَبَداً إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

24.17. Dieu vous exhorte à ne plus jamais commettre de pareilles erreurs si vous êtes de vrais croyants.

24.17 . Allah admonisheth you that ye repeat not the like thereof ever , if ye are ( in truth ) believers .

24.17. YaAAithukumu Allahu an taAAoodoo limithlihi abadan in kuntum mu/mineena

24.18.وَيُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ

24.18. Dieu vous expose Ses signes avec clarté. Il est Omniscient, Il est Sage.

24.18 . And He expoundeth unto you His revelations . Allah is knower , Wise .

24.18. Wayubayyinu Allahu lakumu al-ayati waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun

24.19.إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

24.19. Ceux qui se plaisent à discréditer les croyants subiront des tourments douloureux dans ce monde et dans l'autre, car Dieu sait et vous, vous ne savez pas.

24.19 . Lo! those who love that slander should be spread concerning those who believe , theirs will be a painful punishment in the world and the Hereafter . Allah knoweth . Ye know not .

24.19. Inna allatheena yuhibboona an tasheeAAa alfahishatu fee allatheena amanoo lahum AAathabun aleemun fee alddunya waal-akhirati waAllahu yaAAlamu waantum la taAAlamoona

24.20.وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ وَأَنَّ اللَّه رَؤُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ

24.20. Et n'étaient la grâce de Dieu envers vous et Sa miséricorde , vous auriez déjà subi Ses rigueurs, mais Dieu est Plein de clémence et de mansuétude.

24.20 . Had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you , and that Allah is Clement , Merciful , ( ye ad been undone ) .

24.20. Walawla fadlu Allahi AAalaykum warahmatuhu waanna Allaha raoofun raheemun
