وَلاَ يُنفِقُونَ نَفَقَةً صَغِيرَةً وَلاَ كَبِيرَةً وَلاَ يَقْطَعُونَ وَادِياً إِلاَّ كُتِبَ لَهُمْ لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ اللّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ
9.121. Wala yunfiqoona nafaqatan sagheeratan wala kabeeratan wala yaqtaAAoona wadiyan illa kutiba lahum liyajziyahumu Allahu ahsana ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
9.121. De même qu’ils ne consentiront aucune dépense, grande ou petite, ne franchiront aucune vallée sans que cela soit inscrit à leur actif, et rétribué par Dieu de la manière la plus généreuse.
9.121 . Nor spend they any spending , small or great , nor do they cross a valley , but it is recorded for them , that Allah may repay them the best of what they used to do .

وَمَا كَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنفِرُواْ كَآفَّةً فَلَوْلاَ نَفَرَ مِن كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ طَآئِفَةٌ لِّيَتَفَقَّهُواْ فِي الدِّينِ وَلِيُنذِرُواْ قَوْمَهُمْ إِذَا رَجَعُواْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَحْذَرُونَ
9.122. Wama kana almu/minoona liyanfiroo kaffatan falawla nafara min kulli firqatin minhum ta-ifatun liyatafaqqahoo fee alddeeni waliyunthiroo qawmahum itha rajaAAoo ilayhim laAAallahum yahtharoona
9.122. Mais il n’est nullement souhaitable que les croyants partent tous en expédition. Il serait bon que, de chaque groupement, un certain nombre d’hommes s’emploient à parfaire leur éducation religieuse, afin d’en faire profiter leurs compagnons après leur retour, et de les amener ainsi à se tenir sur leur garde.
9.122 . And the believers should not all go out to fight . Of every troop of them , a party only should go forth , that they ( who are left behind ) may gain sound knowledge in religion , and that they may warn their folk when they return to them , so that they may beware .

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ قَاتِلُواْ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَكُم مِّنَ الْكُفَّارِ وَلْيَجِدُواْ فِيكُمْ غِلْظَةً وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
9.123. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo qatiloo allatheena yaloonakum mina alkuffari walyajidoo feekum ghilthatan waiAAlamoo anna Allaha maAAa almuttaqeena
9.123. ش vous qui croyez ! Combattez ceux des infidèles qui vivent dans votre voisinage ! Qu’ils trouvent en vous de rudes combattants ! Sachez que Dieu est toujours avec ceux qui Le craignent !
9.123 . O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you , and let them find harshness in you , and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty ( unto Him ) .

وَإِذَا مَا أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ أَيُّكُمْ زَادَتْهُ هَـذِهِ إِيمَاناً فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ فَزَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَاناً وَهُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
9.124. Wa-itha ma onzilat sooratun faminhum man yaqoolu ayyukum zadat-hu hathihi eemanan faamma allatheena amanoo fazadat-hum eemanan wahum yastabshiroona
9.124. Lorsqu’une sourate est révélée, il en est parmi les négateurs qui disent : «Duquel d’entre vous cette sourate a renforcé la foi?» Eh bien ! Cette sourate a renforcé la foi des vrais croyants et les a remplis de joie.
9.124 . And whenever a surah is revealed there are some of them who say : Which one of you hath thus increased in faith? As for those who believe , it hath increased them in faith and they rejoice ( therefor ) .

وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ فَزَادَتْهُمْ رِجْساً إِلَى رِجْسِهِمْ وَمَاتُواْ وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ
9.125. Waamma allatheena fee quloobihim maradun fazadat-hum rijsan ila rijsihim wamatoo wahum kafiroona
9.125. Quant à ceux dont les cœurs sont malades, elle n’a fait que les rendre plus immondes qu’auparavant, et ils mourront en infidèles.
9.125 . But as for those in whose hearts is disease , it only addeth wickedness to their wickedness , and they die while they are disbelievers .

أَوَلاَ يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُمْ يُفْتَنُونَ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ مَّرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ لاَ يَتُوبُونَ وَلاَ هُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
9.126. Awa la yarawna annahum yuftanoona fee kulli AAamin marratan aw marratayni thumma la yatooboona wala hum yaththakkaroona
9.126. Ne se rendent-ils pas compte qu’on les met à l’épreuve, chaque année, une ou deux fois, sans qu’ils pensent pour autant à se repentir et à méditer ces événements?
9.126 . See they not that they are tested once or twice in every year? Still they turn not in repentance , neither pay they heed .

وَإِذَا مَا أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ نَّظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ هَلْ يَرَاكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ ثُمَّ انصَرَفُواْ صَرَفَ اللّهُ قُلُوبَهُم بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لاَّ يَفْقَهُون
9.127. Wa-itha ma onzilat sooratun nathara baAAduhum ila baAAdin hal yarakum min ahadin thumma insarafoo sarafa Allahu quloobahum bi-annahum qawmun la yafqahoona
9.127. Quand une sourate est révélée, ils se regardent les uns les autres et se disent : «Quelqu’un vous voit-il?», avant de se dérober furtivement. Dieu détourne ainsi leurs cœurs de la Vérité, car cela dépasse leur entendement.
9.127 . And whenever a surah is revealed , they look one at another ( as who should say ) : Doth anybody see you? Then they turn away . Allah turneth away their hearts because they are a folk who understand not .

لَقَدْ جَاءكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُم بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
9.128. Laqad jaakum rasoolun min anfusikum AAazeezun AAalayhi ma AAanittum hareesun AAalaykum bialmu/mineena raoofun raheemun
9.128. Un Prophète, issu de vous-mêmes, est venu vers vous ! Il compatit à ce que vous endurez et il est plein de sollicitude pour vous, car il est toute bonté et toute compassion pour les croyants !
9.128 . There hath come unto you a messenger , ( one ) of yourselves , unto whom aught that ye are overburdened is grievous , full of concern for you , for the believers full of pity , merciful .

فَإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَقُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللّهُ لا إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
9.129. Fa-in tawallaw faqul hasbiya Allahu la ilaha illa huwa AAalayhi tawakkaltu wahuwa rabbu alAAarshi alAAatheemi
9.129. Mais s’ils persistent dans leur indifférence, dis : «Dieu me suffit ! Il n’y a d’autre divinité que Lui ! C’est en Lui que je place ma confiance. Il est le Maître Souverain du Trône sublime !»
9.129 . Now , if they turn away ( O Muhammad ) say : Allah sufficeth me . There is no God save Him . In Him have I put my trust , and He is Lord of the Tremendous Throne .
