40.12 . ( It is said unto them ) : This is ( your plight ) because , when Allah only was invoked , ye disbelieved , but when some partner was ascribed to Him ye were believing . But the command belongeth only to Allah , the Sublime , the Majestic .

40.12.ذَلِكُم بِأَنَّهُ إِذَا دُعِيَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ كَفَرْتُمْ وَإِن يُشْرَكْ بِهِ تُؤْمِنُوا فَالْحُكْمُ لِلَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْكَبِيرِ

40.12. – «Vous n'avez, leur sera-t-il dit, que le sort que vous méritez. Car, lorsque l'unicité de Dieu était affirmée, vous refusiez d'y croire , et lorsqu'on Lui donnait des associés, vous les admettiez. Il ne peut y avoir d'autre jugement que celui de Dieu, le Sublime, l'Auguste.»

40.12. Dies ist so, weil ihr ungläubig bliebt, als Allah allein angerufen wurde, doch als Ihm Götter zur Seite gesetzt wurden, da glaubtet ihr. Die Entscheidung ist allein bei Allah, dem Hohen, dem Großen.

40.12. Thalikum bi-annahu itha duAAiya Allahu wahdahu kafartum wa-in yushrak bihi tu/minoo faalhukmu lillahi alAAaliyyi alkabeeri

40.12. Esto os pasa porque, cuando se invocaba a Alá Solo, no creíais, mientras que, si se Le asociaban otros dioses, creíais. La decisión, pues, pertenece a Alá, el Altísimo, el Grande.

40.12. « Questo [avviene] perché quando Allah, l'Unico, era invocato, restavate increduli e quando invece Gli attribuivano associati credevate [in essi]. Il Giudizio appartiene ad Allah, l'Altissimo, il Grande».

40.12. Dit kwam omdat gij niet geloofdet toen Allah de Ene werd genoemd, maar toen Hem medegoden werden toegeschreven, geloofdet gij. Nu behoort het oordeel aan Allah, de Allerhoogste, de Allergrootste.
