4.78 . Wheresoever ye may be , death will overtake you , even though ye were in lofty towers . Yet if a happy thing befalleth them they say : This is from Allah ; and if an evil thing befalleth them they say : This is of thy doing ( O Muhammad ) . Say ( unto them ) : All is from Allah . What is amiss with these people that they come not nigh to understand a happening?

4.78.أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُواْ يُدْرِككُّمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِ اللّهِ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِكَ قُلْ كُلًّ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ فَمَا لِهَـؤُلاء الْقَوْمِ لاَ يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثاً

4.78. Où que vous soyez, la mort vous atteindra, fussiez-vous dissimulés dans des tours inexpugnables ! Quand ils ont à se féliciter d'un événement heureux, ils disent : «Cela vient de Dieu !» , mais quand ils ont à déplorer un malheur qui les frappe, ils t'accusent, toi, Prophète, d'en être l'auteur. Dis-leur : «Tout événement procède de Dieu.» Que ces gens-là sont durs à comprendre !

4.78. "Wo ihr auch sein mögt, der Tod ereilt euch doch, und wäret ihr in hohen Burgen. Und wenn ihnen Gutes begegnet, sagen sie: ""Das ist von Allah"", und wenn ihnen Schlimmes begegnet, sagen sie: ""Das ist von dir."" Sprich: ""Alles ist von Allah."" Was ist diesem Volk widerfahren, daß sie so weit davon sind, etwas zu begreifen?"

4.78. Aynama takoonoo yudrikkumu almawtu walaw kuntum fee buroojin mushayyadatin wa-in tusibhum hasanatun yaqooloo hathihi min AAindi Allahi wa-in tusibhum sayyi-atun yaqooloo hathihi min AAindika qul kullun min AAindi Allahi famali haola-i alqawmi la yakadoona yafqahoona hadeethan

4.78. " Dondequiera que os encontréis, la muerte os alcanzará, aun si estáis en torres elevadas. Si les sucede un bien, dicen: ""Esto viene de Alá"". Pero, si es un mal, dicen: ""Esto viene de ti"". Di: ""Todo viene de Alá"". Pero ¿qué tienen éstos, que apenas comprenden lo que se les dice? "

4.78. "La morte vi coglierà ovunque sarete, foss'anche in torri fortificate"". Se giunge loro un bene, dicono: ""Viene da Allah"". Se giunge un male, dicono: ""Viene da te"". Di': "" Tutto viene da Allah."" Ma cos'hanno queste genti che non comprendono nemmeno un singolo evento ?"

4."78. Waar gij ook zijt, de dood zal u achterhalen, zelfs al waart gij in sterk gebouwde torens. En als hen iets goeds overkomt zeggen zij: ""Dit komt van Allah"" en als hen iets kwaads overkomt zeggen zij: ""Dit komt van u"" (van de profeet). Zeg: ""Alles komt van Allah"". Wat scheelt deze mensen, dat zij het woord niet willen begrijpen?"
