2.85 . Yet ye it is who stay each other and drive out a party of your people from their homes , supporting one another against them by sin and transgression , and if they came to you as captives ye would ransom them , whereas their expulsion was itself unlawful for you . Believe ye in part of the Scripture and disbelieve ye in part thereof? And what is the reward of those who do so save ignominy in the life of the world , and on the Day of Resurrection they will be consigned to the most grievous doom . For Allah is not unaware of what ye do .

2.85.ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ هَـؤُلاء تَقْتُلُونَ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَتُخْرِجُونَ فَرِيقاً مِّنكُم مِّن دِيَارِهِمْ تَظَاهَرُونَ عَلَيْهِم بِالإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَإِن يَأتُوكُمْ أُسَارَى تُفَادُوهُمْ وَهُوَ مُحَرَّمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ إِخْرَاجُهُمْ أَفَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِبَعْضِ الْكِتَابِ وَتَكْفُرُونَ بِبَعْضٍ فَمَا جَزَاء مَن يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ مِنكُمْ إِلاَّ خِزْيٌ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَى أَشَدِّ الْعَذَابِ وَمَا اللّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

2.85. Or, voilà que vous vous entretuez, que vous chassez de leurs foyers certains de vos frères, en vous liguant injustement contre eux, pour les accabler d'abus et d'oppression. Et quand ils tombent en captivité, vous les rançonnez, alors qu'il vous était interdit de les expulser. Admettriez-vous seulement une certaine partie du Livre et en rejetteriez-vous le reste? Quel traitement devra être réservé à ceux qui agissent de la sorte, sinon l'ignominie dans ce monde et le châtiment le plus impitoyable dans l'autre? Dieu n'est pas inattentif à vos agissements.

2.85. Dennoch seid ihr Leute, die ihr einander erschlagt und einen Teil der Eurigen aus ihren Häusern treibt, einer den andern stützend gegen sie mit Sünde und Missetat. Und wenn sie als Gefangene zu euch kommen, kauft ihr sie los, obwohl ihre Austreibung selbst für euch ungesetzlich war. Glaubt ihr denn nur an einen Teil des Buches und verwerft den andern? Es gibt darum keinen Lohn für jene unter euch, die also tun, denn Schande in diesem Leben, und am Tage der Auferstehung sollen sie der schwersten Strafe überantwortet werden, und Allah ist nicht achtlos eures Tuns.

2.85. Thumma antum haola-i taqtuloona anfusakum watukhrijoona fareeqan minkum min diyarihim tathaharoona AAalayhim bial-ithmi waalAAudwani wa-in ya/tookum osara tufadoohum wahuwa muharramun AAalaykum ikhrajuhum afatu/minoona bibaAAdi alkitabi watakfuroona bibaAAdin fama jazao man yafAAalu thalika minkum illa khizyun fee alhayati alddunya wayawma alqiyamati yuraddoona ila ashaddi alAAathabi wama Allahu bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona

2.85. Pero sois vosotros los que os matáis y expulsáis a algunos de los vuestros de sus casas, haciendo causa común contra ellos con pecado y violación de la ley. Y, si acuden a vosotros como cautivos, los rescatáis. El haberlos expulsado era ya ilícito. Entonces, ¿es que creéis en parte de la Escritura y dejáis de creer en otra parte? ¿Qué merecen quienes de vosotros tal hacen sino la ignominia en la vid de acá y ser enviados al castigo más duro el día de la Resurrección? Alá está atento a lo que hacéis.

2.85. E ora invece vi uccidete l'un l'altro e scacciate dalle loro case alcuni dei vostri, dandovi man forte nel crimine e nella trasgressione. E se sono prigionieri ne pagate il riscatto, quando anche solo l'espellerli vi era stato vietato. Accettate dunque una parte del Libro e ne rinnegate un'altra parte ? Non c'è altro compenso per colui che agisce così se non l'obbrobrio in questa vita e il castigo più terribile nel Giorno della Resurrezione. Allah non è incurante di quello che fate.

2.85. Toch zijt gij het volk, dat uw eigen broeders doodt en een gedeelte van uw volk uit hun huizen verdrijft, elkaar tegen hen helpende in zonde en overtreding. En, indien zij als gevangenen tot u terugkomen, koopt gij hen vrij, terwijl juist hun verdrijving voor u verboden was. Gelooft gij dan slechts in een gedeelte van het Boek en verwerpt gij een ander gedeelte? Er is geen beloning voor degenen uwer, die zulks doen, behalve schande in dit leven, en op de Dag van Opstanding zullen zij de strengste kastijding moeten ondergaan, want Allah is niet onachtzaam betreffende hetgeen gij doet.
