ÝóÃõæúáóÜÆößó åõãõ ÇáúÎóÇÓöÑõæäó 2.121. Allatheena ataynahumu alkitaba yatloonahu haqqa tilawatihi ola-ika yu/minoona bihi waman yakfur bihi faola-ika humu alkhasiroona 2.121. Ceux à qui Nous avons donné le Livre et qui le récitent correctement, ceux-là y croient réellement , tandis que ceux qui en dénaturent le sens sont les véritables perdants. 2.121 . Those unto whom We have given the Scripture , who read it with the right reading , those believe in it . And whoso disbelieveth in it , those are they who are the losers .

ÃóäúÚóãúÊõ Úóáóíúßõãú æóÃóäøöí ÝóÖøóáúÊõßõãú Úóáóì ÇáúÚóÇáóãöíäó 2.122. Ya banee isra-eela othkuroo niAAmatiya allatee anAAamtu AAalaykum waannee faddaltukum AAala alAAalameena 2.122. Rappelez-vous, enfants d’Israël, les faveurs dont Je vous ai comblés et la préférence que Je vous ai accordée sur tous les peuples de la Terre ! 2.122 . O Children of Israel! Remember My favor wherewith I favored you and how I referred you to ( all ) creatures .

ÔóÝóÇÚóÉñ æóáÇó åõãú íõäÕóÑõæäó 2.123. Waittaqoo yawman la tajzee nafsun AAan nafsin shay-an wala yuqbalu minha AAadlun wala tanfaAAuha shafaAAatun wala hum yunsaroona 2.123. Redoutez le jour où aucune âme ne pourra prêter assistance à une autre âme, où aucun rachat ne pourra être effectué en sa faveur, où nulle intercession ne sera admise et où les négateurs ne pourront bénéficier d’aucun secours ! 2.123 . And guard ( yours against a day when no soul will naught avail another , nor will compensation be accepted from it , nor will intercession be of Use to it ; nor will they be helped .

Wa-ithi ibtala ibraheema rabbuhu bikalimatin faatammahunna qala innee jaAAiluka lilnnasi imaman qala wamin thurriyyatee qala la yanalu AAahdee alththalimeena 2.124. Souvenez-vous lorsque Dieu, voulant mettre à l’épreuve Abraham, lui édicta certaines prescriptions dont il s’acquitta avec bonheur, et que Dieu lui dit alors : «Je ferai de toi un guide spirituel pour les hommes.» – «Et ma descendance bénéficiera-t-elle de cette faveur?», demanda Abraham. «Ma promesse, dit le Seigneur, ne saurait s’appliquer aux pervers.» 2.124 . And ( remember ) when his Lord tried Abraham with ( His ) commands , and he fulfilled them , He said : Lo! I have appointed thee a leader for mankind . ( Abraham ) said : And of my offspring ( will there be leurders ) ? He said : My covenant includeth not wrongdoers .

ÇáÓøõÌõæÏö 2.125. Wa-ith jaAAalna albayta mathabatan lilnnasi waamnan waittakhithoo min maqami ibraheema musallan waAAahidna ila ibraheema wa-ismaAAeela an tahhira baytiya liltta-ifeena waalAAakifeena waalrrukkaAAi alssujoodi 2.125. C’est alors que Nous fîmes du temple de la Ka`ba un lieu de retraite et un havre de paix pour les hommes, en leur recommandant de faire de la station d’Abraham un lieu de prière. De même que Nous confiâmes à Abraham et à Ismaël le soin de préserver la pureté de Notre temple à l’intention de ceux qui viendront y accomplir des circuits rituels, faire une retraite ou s’incliner et se recueillir. 2.125 . And when We made the House ( at Mecca ) a resort for mankind and a sanctuary , ( saying ) : Take as your place of worship the place where Abraham stood ( to pray ) . And We imposed a duty upon Abraham and Ishmael , ( saying ) : Purify My house for those who go around and those who meditate therein and those who bow down and prostrate themselves ( in worship ) .

ÝóÃõãóÊøöÚõåõ ÞóáöíáÇð Ëõãøó ÃóÖúØóÑøõåõ Åöáóì ÚóÐóÇÈö ÇáäøóÇÑö æóÈöÆúÓó ÇáúãóÕöíÑõ 2.126. Wa-ith qala ibraheemu rabbi ijAAal hatha baladan aminan waorzuq ahlahu mina alththamarati man amana minhum biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiri qala waman kafara faomattiAAuhu qaleelan thumma adtarruhu ila AAathabi alnnari wabi/sa almaseeru 2.126. Abraham adressa au Seigneur cette prière : «Seigneur ! Fais de cette cité un lieu inviolable et prospère pour ceux de ses habitants qui croient en Toi et au Dernier Jour !» Dieu répondit : «Quant aux infidèles, Je ne leur accorderai qu’une jouissance passagère, avant de les acculer au supplice de l’Enfer. Et ce sera pour eux un bien triste sort !» 2.126 . And when Abraham prayed : My Lord! Make this a region of security and bestow upon its people fruits , such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day , He answered : As for him who disbelieveth , I shall leave him in contentment for a while , then I shall compel him to the doom of fire a hapless journey ' s end!

ãöäøóÇ Åöäøóßó ÃóäÊó ÇáÓøóãöíÚõ ÇáúÚóáöíãõ 2.127. Wa-ith yarfaAAu ibraheemu alqawaAAida mina albayti wa-ismaAAeelu rabbana taqabbal minna innaka anta alssameeAAu alAAaleemu 2.127. Et pendant qu’Abraham et Ismaël élevaient les assises de la Ka`ba, ils disaient : «Seigneur ! Daigne accepter de nous cet ouvrage ! Tu es l’Audient, Tu es l’Omniscient ! 2.127 . And when Abraham and Ishmael were raising the foundations of the House , ( Abraham prayed ) : Our Lord! Accept from us ( this duty ) . Lo! Thou , only Thou , art the Nearer , the Knower .

Åöäøóßó ÃóäÊó ÇáÊøóæøóÇÈõ ÇáÑøóÍöíãõ 2.128. Rabbana waijAAalna muslimayni laka wamin thurriyyatina ommatan muslimatan laka waarina manasikana watub AAalayna innaka anta alttawwabu alrraheemu 2.128. Seigneur ! Fais de nous des croyants entièrement soumis à Ta volonté , et de notre postérité, un peuple également soumis à Tes lois ! Fais-nous connaître les rites que nous devons observer et accepte notre repentir, car Tu es le Miséricordieux, Tu es le Clément ! 2.128 . Our Lord! And make us submissive unto Thee and of our seed a nation submissive unto Thee , and show us our ways of worship , and relent toward us . Lo! Thou , only Thou , art the Relenting , the Merciful .

æóíõÒóßøöíåöãú Åöäøóßó ÃóäÊó ÇáÚóÒöíÒõ ÇáÍóßöíãõ 2.129. Rabbana waibAAath feehim rasoolan minhum yatloo AAalayhim ayatika wayuAAallimuhumu alkitaba waalhikmata wayuzakkeehim innaka anta alAAazeezu alhakeemu 2.129. Seigneur ! Envoie-leur un prophète issu d’eux-mêmes, qui leur récitera Tes versets , leur enseignera l’Écriture et la sagesse et les purifiera de leurs fausses croyances ! Tu es, en vérité, le Puissant, le Sage !» 2.129 . Our Lord! And raise up in their midst a messenger from among them who shall recite unto them Thy revelations , and shall instruct them in the Scripture and in wisdom and shall make them grow . Lo! Thou , only Thou , art the Mighty , Wise .

Waman yarghabu AAan millati ibraheema illa man safiha nafsahu walaqadi istafaynahu fee alddunya wa-innahu fee al-akhirati lamina alssaliheena 2.130. Mais qui donc se détournera, à moins d’être un esprit insensé, du culte d’Abraham? Cet apôtre que Nous avons élu en ce monde, et qui siégera parmi les justes dans la vie future , 2.130 . And who forsaketh the religion of Abraham save him who befooleth himself? Verily We chose him in the world , and lo! in the Hereafter he is among the righteous .
